La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes
This is a fascinating journey through a crocodile breeding farm. Visitors can also see snakes, geckos, tame monkeys and wild boar as well as giant tortoises and indigenous fruit bats. A tour will inform you all about the crocodiles. You can also enjoy a walk through tropical vegetation and an amazing display of over 20,000 collected insects and butterflies.

Chamarel
"The Seven Coloured Earth" is a site that will have you amazed. These are dunes of seven shades of colour which have been formed by erosion of volcanic ash. If you take some of the earth and shake it up, the colours will separate. For the full effect, view the dunes from a distance. Another attraction is the beautiful 100m high Chameral waterfall nearby.
